Got out fairly early, our first stop, Garden of the Gods which we toured for an hour or so. Also made our way to the trading post – a huge shop with everything you would expect and more from a trading post!

Headed north to Denver and Chatfield State Park which was only an hour’s drive. Chatfield State Park was another very well maintained Colorado campground situated on the shores of Chatfield Lake (Reservoir). It’s a large campground with amazing infrastructure, bike paths, and access to water sports.

We arrived early afternoon, got set up and went for a run along the bike path by the lake. After showers, we headed to town for supplies – another Sprouts Food Market, such a nice store. Before sundown we did a nice post dinner walk along a path by the lake, then tea and snacks before bed.
