There are so many options for places to visit that are a stones throw away from Denver. We decided on the town of Evergreen, less than an hour drive west of our campground. Once there we opted for Evergreen Peak where the summit gave us a 360 degree view of the surrounding countryside. Lots of big snowy mountains to the west. Afterwards we went back to the village for coffee and treats.
