Spent the day in and around Granville Island, even without the mountains, Vancouver looked very different than Ottawa. The grass was green, the bushes had leaves and the runners were wearing shorts! Granville Island was fun and busy, toured the markets and galleries and couldn’t buy anything because we have no room to put it! We also managed to squeeze in a visit to the Richmond Olympic Oval, home to the Olympic Experience – an interesting interactive museum featuring a number of interactive simulators and exhibits – it was worth the visit, the volunteer staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. Tomorrow we meet with some Vancouver friends and then psych ourselves up for a 13 hour flight!
